So, let's venture forth into the world of financial insights and uncover what the experts are saying about ITC's future prospects.

What's ITC and What Does It Do?

ITC is a pretty old company, started way back in 1910. It's considered a big player in the world of business. In fact, it's a Large Cap company with a value of about Rs 548,580.52 Crore.

ITC does something related to tobacco – not making cigarettes, but other things connected to it.

ITC's Stuff and How It Makes Money

You know, ITC sells a bunch of different things. They sell packaged foods, stuff grown on farms, paper products, and more.

But they also have something to do with tobacco, even if it's not the regular cigarettes. They're also into services like hotels and printed materials. For the year ending on March 31, 2022, these things brought them money.

How's ITC Doing Financially?

For the latest quarter, which ended on June 30, 2023, ITC made a total of Rs 17,886.76 Crore. Compared to the previous quarter, this is a little lower, about -1.96%.

If you go back to the same time last year, there's a decrease of -4.91%. This tells us that ITC is making a bit less money than before.

Why Should You Care About This?

ICICI Securities has given this advice for a reason. They think that the industry ITC is in will keep growing in the coming year. They also believe that the part of ITC that deals with things like packaged foods is doing well.

In fact, this part had better profits, thanks to good pricing and saving on costs. Even the hotels part of ITC did pretty well, with more people coming to stay and paying higher prices.

So, in simple terms, ICICI Securities is saying that adding ITC to your list of possible investments might be a good idea.

They think ITC's stock price could reach Rs 500, which would be more than what it's selling for now.

Remember, investing involves some risk, and it's always a good idea to learn more before you decide. But keeping an eye on companies like ITC can be a step in the right direction for your investment journey.
